This policy explains what personal information Genwayz collects through genwayz.com, why, and the choices you have. We’ve written it in plain English and kept it to what the site actually does. If anything here is unclear, email us at hello@genwayz.com.

The short version
- We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to see how visitors use our site. We don’t use advertising cookies. Visitors in the UK, EEA and Switzerland are asked first, and analytics cookies stay off until they accept.
- We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for targeted advertising.
- Our free llms.txt and robots.txt generator runs in your browser. Nothing you type into it is sent to us.
- If you send us your details through a form or by email, we use them to reply, to deliver what you asked for (such as a site audit), and to follow up about our services. You can tell us to stop at any time.
What we collect and why
When you browse the site
Like almost every website, our hosting servers automatically record basic technical information for each request: your IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the referring page, and the date and time. We use this only to run, secure and troubleshoot the site, for example to block abusive traffic. We don’t use it to build a profile of you.
Website audit and contact forms
Our instant site audit and contact forms run on Cloudflare. This is how submissions are handled:
- Site audit: you enter a website address. Our audit service visits that public web page and checks things like security headers, SEO tags and speed, then shows you the results. Your IP address is used briefly to limit abuse (for example, too many audits in a minute), and our service provider tells us your approximate country.
- Unlocking the full report: if you choose to, you give us your name and email address. We store these together with the website you audited and its score.
- Contact form: your name, email address, and anything else you choose to include, such as your website address, what you need, and your message.
We use this information to send you your results, reply to your enquiry, prepare a proposal if you ask for one, and follow up about our services. When you unlock a full report or send the contact form, your details are passed through our Cloudflare service, saved to our Google Sheet (Google Workspace) and emailed to us at hello@genwayz.com. You can also email us directly.
When you email us
If you email hello@genwayz.com, we receive your email address, name and whatever you write, and use it to reply and handle your request.
Business contact information for outreach
We sometimes contact businesses that we think could benefit from our services. For this we use business contact details that are publicly available, such as a company website, a business listing or a professional profile. We may look at your public website to prepare a short, specific review for you. Every outreach email tells you how to opt out, and if you ask us to stop, we will, and we’ll keep a note so we don’t contact you again.
Free tools
The llms.txt and AI robots.txt generator at /tools/llms-txt-generator/ builds its files entirely in your browser. What you type is not uploaded to us. If “Remember in this browser” is on, your answers are saved in your own browser’s local storage so you can come back to them. “Clear form” deletes them, and you can turn the option off.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to see how visitors use our site. We don’t set advertising or social media cookies. Specifically:
- Analytics: Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, may set analytics cookies (such as
_ga) to count visits and see which pages are used. If you visit from the UK, the EEA or Switzerland, we ask for your choice first, and analytics cookies stay off until you accept. Elsewhere, analytics is on by default, and you can turn it off at any time. - Your choice: you can change it at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page. Your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage so we don’t ask on every page.
- WordPress sets cookies only for people who log in to manage the site, which visitors don’t do.
- Our caching and content delivery services (LiteSpeed Cache and the Hostinger CDN) store copies of pages to make the site fast. They don’t set tracking cookies for visitors.
- The Hostinger Reach script (see below) is delivered through Cloudflare, which may set one short-lived security cookie,
__cf_bm, on cdn-reach.hostinger.com. It helps tell real visitors from bots, expires after 30 minutes, and isn’t used for tracking or advertising. - The free tools may use your browser’s local storage as described above. That data stays in your browser.
If we add any other non-essential cookies, such as advertising cookies, we’ll update this policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Our legal basis (UK and EU visitors)
Under the UK GDPR, we rely on:
- Legitimate interests: running and securing the website, replying to enquiries, sending you audit results you asked for, and limited business-to-business outreach and follow-up about our services. We balance these against your rights, and you can object at any time.
- Steps before a contract: when you ask us for a quote or proposal.
- Consent: where we ask for it, such as for analytics cookies for visitors in the UK, EEA and Switzerland, or any future newsletter. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation: where we must keep records, for example for tax.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the service providers that help us run the business, and only as needed:
- Hostinger: hosts this website and its content delivery network.
- Google Workspace: our email.
- Google (Tag Manager and Analytics): measures how our website is used.
- Cloudflare: runs our site audit and passes form submissions to us.
- Enquiries: contact form submissions and full-report requests are saved to our Google Sheet (Google Workspace) and emailed to hello@genwayz.com.
Hostinger’s email marketing tool (Hostinger Reach) is installed on the site, so a small script loads from Hostinger’s servers on each page. We don’t currently use it to show signup forms or collect any information. If we start a newsletter, we’ll update this policy first.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a business sale or reorganisation, in which case this policy continues to apply.
We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
International transfers
Our providers and our team may process information outside the country where you live, including in the United States and India. Where UK or EU data protection law applies, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or standard contractual clauses offered by our providers.
How long we keep it
- Server logs are kept for a short period by our hosting provider for security and troubleshooting.
- Enquiries, audit leads and outreach records are kept for as long as we need them to respond and follow up, and no longer than 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you become a client.
- If you become a client, we keep project and billing records for as long as our contract and the law require.
- If you ask us not to contact you, we keep a minimal record (your email address and the date) so we can honour that request.
Your rights
UK and EU
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, restrict or object to how we use it (including for direct marketing, which we’ll always stop), receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent where we rely on it.
You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or your local data protection authority. We’d appreciate the chance to sort out your concern first.
United States
Depending on your state, including California, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to access it, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing for targeted advertising. We don’t sell or share personal information in that way. We won’t treat you differently for using any of these rights. You can use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.
How to make a request
Email hello@genwayz.com with your request. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on it. We’ll reply within one month, or within the time your local law requires.
Security
We protect information with HTTPS encryption, up-to-date software, limited access, and reputable providers. No method of sending or storing information online is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
Children
This website is meant for businesses and isn’t directed at children. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you think a child has sent us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Links to other websites
Our pages link to other websites, such as client sites, news sources and documentation. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.
Changes to this policy
We’ll update this page when the site or our practices change, for example if we add new tools or service providers, and change the “Last updated” date above. If a change is significant, we’ll make it clear on the site.
